Destiny 2’s Eververse update in September means you’ll want to shard cosmetics now - PC Invasion

Posted: 19 Jun 2019 12:24 PM PDT

Destiny 2 players have had a love-hate relationship with Tess Everis and Eververse. Ah, who are we kidding? It's mostly a hate-and-sorta-hate relationship. Bungie's monetization of Destiny 2 by way of loot boxes and cosmetics did have issues in the past. As the game's content and mechanics slowly improve, so too will Eververse and the cosmetics and bright dust economy. We'll see some major changes to these once Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and Destiny 2: New Light release this September. The information comes from Bungie's latest blog post.

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Eververse Changes Bright Dust Ornaments

Destiny 2: Ornaments Transmogrification And More Bright Dust

Whether it's your Dawning gear, Dragonfly set, Optimacy set, or others, Destiny 2's ornaments, and the cosmetic system will forever change. As you can see in the image above, a brand new system will be in place. Rather than worrying about the stats of your Eververse armor, they'll end up becoming ornaments instead.

If ever you've obtained regular armor pieces with great stat rolls, don't worry if these make you look like a goof. The upcoming changes coming to Shadowkeep and New Light will let you transmogrify their look and style into the Eververse armor that you've obtained in the past.

As for bright dust — the currency used to purchase cosmetics directly (and also obtained from dismantling cosmetics) — you'll be able to earn these from Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit bounties. Yep, you can continue playing the various activities in Destiny 2 and you can expect to get bright dust in return. Also, cosmetic items pulled from your collection, such as exotic sparrows or ships, will no longer cost bright dust. You'll only need to spend glimmer and legendary shards.

Eververse: Everything Must Go, Including Fenchurch!

Due to these changes in September, dismantling your cosmetics will no longer reward bright dust. They'll, sadly, only reward the usual glimmer and legendary shards.

Given that everything you've obtained is in your Collections tab, Bungie has suggested that Guardians should just dismantle and shard every cosmetic item. No ifs, no buts. Dismantle them before the September update so you can still amass bright dust for now.

Just imagine being a spacefaring Matt Hardy. Go ahead and "DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!" every cosmetic item you have since they'll fade away and classify themselves as obsolete.

The Eververse update will go live on September 17. That's when Destiny 2's new expansion Shadowkeep releases. That's also when the free-to-play version Destiny 2: New Light, which includes Year 1 content, launches. You can check its Steam store page over here. Beauty blogger accused of releasing lumpy and hairy lipstick: 'This can't be ok' - Fox News

Posted: 10 Jun 2019 12:00 AM PDT

YouTube beauty guru is trying to survive lumpy-lipstick-gate.

Jaclyn Hill launched her cosmetic line, Jaclyn Cosmetics, about two weeks ago. While fans were initially anxious to get their hands on the product, since then, some have been taking to social media to complain about defective products.

Many of the complaints center around the lipstick being "lumpy," People reports. Pictures began surfacing of lipstick tubes full of lumpy product. Some even appeared to have tiny, mysterious balls embedded inside of them. Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst of it.

Some users noticed that there appeared to be tiny hairs in their lipstick.

UPDATE:  A spokesperson for Jaclyn Cosmetics provided Fox News with the following statement: "The response to the launch of Jaclyn Cosmetics has been incredible. Of the incredible volume of orders that were placed at launch, we believe less than half of one percent of orders were impacted by compromised product. We are actively reaching out to our customers with questions and concerns and have added to our customer service team to make sure that any questions are swiftly addressed. We are keeping an eye on the Jaclyn Cosmetics social channels and info@jaclyncosmetics.com, and welcome all feedback. We love our customers and are proud of our successful launch."

YouTube beauty blogger RawBeautyKristi posted a review of the lipsticks, which can be summed up with one of her tweets. "All I can say is WTF," she posted along with a picture of "hairy" lipstick.

Another user posted a similar picture, saying "I'm a longtime fan, but I'm disappointed with @jaclyncosmetics BOTH of my lipsticks came with fuzz on them."

More users posted pictures of "lumpy" looking lipsticks, with one saying, "I got my @jaclyncosmetics lip stick today and it's got these little scratchy balls in the lipstick?? #jaclyncosmetics I don't understand?"

Another user asked, "Why is my @jaclyncosmetics Decaf lipstick lumpy?? @Jaclynhill This cant be ok right?"

Even die-hard fans had issues, with one posting, "I am a huge supporter! Seriously love you. I was soooo excited to buy your lipsticks. Today when I went to put on "Decaf." I noticed there was a hard ball inside of it. What is it? Can I get a replacement?"

Hill took to Twitter to respond, saying "If any of you are receiving lipsticks like this.... please know that this is NOT hair! My factory used brand new white gloves to do quality control & they shed all over my product! We switched to rubber gloves 2 days ago & will make sure this never happens again."

In regard to the "lumpy lipsticks," she posted, "In rare circumstances some lipsticks were exposed to high temperatures or the raw materials were not blended thoroughly and that is not acceptable to us - as of now we are seeing less 0.1% with issues – but we see your complaints on social and want to fix things!"
