Kylie Cosmetics' Under The Sea Collection Includes Peachy, Beachy Vibes & A New Lippie Formula - Elite Daily

Not to be dramatic, you guys, but Kylie Jenner just dopped her latest makeup collection, and it's honestly the best one yet. Normally, there are one or two products in every lineup that catch my eye, but this time around I want every single thing, and I honestly feel like my summer glam will suffer unless I treat myself to the whole line. What's in Kylie Cosmetics' Under The Sea summer 2019 collection that's making me feel this way? The dreamiest, shimmeriest shadow palette, a brand-new lippie formula, and so much more, all in peachy pink packaging fit for an Instagram-ready mermaid.

As usual, Jenner gave shoppers a sneak peak at her latest collection via a stream of in-depth stories posted to her Instagram and Snapchat accounts. She began with then PR box, a larger-than-life seashell-inspired case with all 11 products inside. Swoon. The packaging for this collection is a light peachy pink with gold foil accents and images of coral, shells, and starfish. It screams beach-ready in all the right ways, and the punchy peach is honestly a lot more exciting than the millennial pink every brand ever (Including Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin) has been pushing as of late. No tea, no shade, I'm just loving this brighter, more summery hue!

Now, let's talk products:

First up is the star of the show, the Under The Sea Palette:

This is the most beautiful palette Kylie has ever created, and I can honestly say I'd use every single shade. In addition to dreamy neutral mattes, there are bold bronzes and golds in a new metallic formula, as well as vibrant shades like lime green, emerald green, and fuchsia in a brand new glitter formula. Talk about a diverse colorstory! I love that I could create a super-wearable nude eye or a full-on Ursula moment. Honestly, I can't stop staring at this shade range.

Based on Jenner's swatches, it's clear she spent time making sure the new metallic and glitter formulas would be pigmented AF:

The palette isn't the only product for eyes, though. There are also four shades of Shimmer Eye Glaze:

These babies are back and reformulated to be better than ever before, and all four shades promise smoothe, sparkly payoff and full-on mermaid realness:

"You guys will fall in love with this new formula," Jenner wrote on her Instagram Story, and based off of her swatches of "Night Swim," "Ocean Child," "Deep Sea Dreams," and "Aqua Mama," I believe it:

Want more? Okay, how do three lip formulas sound? In addition to her popular High Glosses and traditional bullet lipsticks, Jenner is using this collection to debut a new lippie formula.

Meet the Lip Blush, described as a sheer tint with a matte finish:

There will be two shades, "Bikini Bod" and "Boss Bay," available in pearly white tubes:

If you prefer the traditional lipsticks, though, there will be two mattes and one metallic topper to choose from:

"Beach Bum," and "Paradise Please" are gorg summer brights, while "Endless Summer" is a sheer metallic topper to amp up any shade:

Or, if you're a glossy gal, you can slick on the new High Gloss in "You Are The Sun":

I've never meant this more than I do right now — Kylie, you're doing amazing, sweetie. This really is my favorite Kylie Cosmetics collection to date! If you're feeling this shimmery beach fantasy and want to snag a few things for yourself, you can shop the lineup when it hits the Kylie Cosmetics site on July 10.

'Holy. Grail!': Sweat-proof beauty products customers are raving about - Yahoo Style

Posted: 02 Jul 2019 09:32 AM PDT

With the warm weather finally taking hold across the country comes the dreaded summertime beauty problem: Makeup that's caked, creased, smudged or just plain melted off.

Fortunately, there are products to help with this dilemma. If you find your makeup that looked great in the winter is starting to look not so cute in the heat, check out these sweat-defying products.

Buxom Lash Waterproof Volumizing Mascara

What it is: An ultra-defining, smudge-proof mascara that glides on amped-up lashes.

Customer Review: "I live and work in the Gulf coast of Texas where the humidity is mascara's biggest enemy. Every waterproof/smudge proof product I buy ends up on my under-eyes within an hour. Until now! I can't believe how it stays on all day, looks, and feels great. It doesn't clump, it definitely doesn't run or smudge, and it's not in the corners of my eyes. Fantastic product. I'm a customer for life."

SHOP IT: Nordstrom, $30

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation

What it is: A 24-hour liquid foundation with a flawless, natural, matte finish that unifies uneven skin tone and covers imperfections with buildable coverage.

Customer Review: "This stuff did not oxidize (a miracle!), did not budge, did not slip off when I broke a sweat, does not have a fragrant smell or weird heavy feeling. It is hands down the best (though one of the most expensive) foundations I've ever tried. Just do yourself a favour and buy it. It is a godsend for my oily, uneven toned skin and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Holy. Grail. Straight out of the gate."

SHOP IT: Sephora, $50

Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

What it is: A liquid liner that glides on with ease, won't skip, smudge, pull or run, and stays in place until you're ready to take it off.

Customer Review: "By far the best eyeliner I've used. Lasts forever, like seriously, 18+ hours with rough wear. Holds up through sweat, tears, humidity, eye rubbing, sleep, graveyard shifts at work, kids, the works. No smearing or smudging, no flaking, it just kind of goes away. It applies easily, basically like a sharpie for your eyelids."

SHOP IT: Nordstrom, $30

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

What it is: A BB cream, a CC cream and a tinted moisturizer that leaves you with beautiful sheer-to-medium coverage and a radiant, smooth finish.

Customer Review: "I love this tinted moisturizer. It's easy to apply and is long lasting. I don't usually wear makeup so this product is great to wear when I want an even colour or when I'm trying to cover up some blemishes. It has a dewy finish and gives my face a nice glow without looking like I have anything on."

SHOP IT: Nordstrom, $45

Laura Mercier Blush Colour Infusion

What it is: A long-wearing, sheer powder blush that provides up to 10 hours of buildable, natural-looking cheek colour for all skin tones.

Customer Review: "I love it. The colour applies smoothly and lasts for my entire day. I have tried MANY brands of blush and for me, the Laura Mercier brand works the BEST!"

SHOP IT: Sephora, $38

Too Faced Born This Way Setting Powder

What it is: A silky, lightweight powder that sets makeup and provides a veil of perfecting luminosity for a natural finish.

Customer Review: "Finally, a luminous finish for mature skin. I wear it with concealer for a natural look, or over my foundation for more coverage! It doesn't dry out my skin, and doesn't fade through out the day."

SHOP IT: Nordstrom, $45

Morphe 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette

What it is: A palette of holographic duo-chrome and creamy matte shades.

Customer Review: "Love it. The eye colours really sit well on my eye. It stays on the eye for the whole day. Little fall out. Blends well. All in all a really good product."

SHOP IT: Sephora, $30

Fenty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color

What it is: A weightless, long-wearing, liquid lipstick with a soft-matte finish—born in a range of head-turning shades that look incredible on all skin tones.

Customer Review: "Wore this amazing lip paint for 13 hours, with no touch ups, and I could've kept going. I had three meals (including Thanksgiving), and loads of drinks and IT STAYED ON. You only need one layer/swipe and you have full opacity. Worth every penny. And it looks good on every skin tone."

SHOP IT: Sephora, $32

Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray

What it is: A weightless setting spray that helps makeup stay put, controls oil, and deflects surface shine.

Customer Review: "My all time summertime/party night fave! I have combination skin. So this is a must have during moments I know I will be exposed to hot humid climates/conditions! This keeps my makeup in check and at bay. Its formula is incomparable!"

SHOP IT: Sephora, $20

Benefit Precisely, My Brow

What it is: A bestselling brow pencil to transform shapeless, undefined brows with a few strokes—now available in 12 shades to flatter every hair colour.

Customer Review: "The pigment is perfect and it glides on like a dream, and the tip is so precise you can mimic actual brow hairs perfectly without effort. New holy grail must have. Try it once and you will fall in love! Thank you Benefit for slaying the brow game so hard!"

SHOP IT: Sephora, $32

Perspective | Miss Manners: Young-looking teacher tired of comments - The Washington Post

Posted: 01 Jul 2019 09:00 PM PDT

Dear Miss Manners: I'm a middle school teacher, and often when I meet with parents for the first time, they will remark "You look so young," or "You look like you could be one of the students!"

I understand they don't mean any offense, but I am in my early 30s and do my best to wear professional clothes and makeup. My co-workers tell me I should take it as a compliment, but lately I've been feeling a little insulted, especially when they compare me to a middle-schooler.

I normally tell them "thank you," but I don't feel like my response is genuine or appropriate. How should I respond in the future?

"I can assure you that your child is fully aware that I am a grown-up, and that I am in charge here." Miss Manners just asks you to say it with a smile.

Dear Miss Manners: I have two acquaintances who each have PhD degrees from Harvard. They insist upon being addressed as "Dr." Smith and "Dr." Jones.

I have a PhD from another school. It has always been my opinion that this is not a social title, and should only be used in professional contexts. I believe that only M. D.s should be addressed and identified as "doctor" in social settings. People may need to know that they are medical doctors. What is your knowledge of this?

A bit of knowledge that your acquaintances failed to pick up at Harvard: awareness of the reverse snobbery practiced there, and at other schools, where doctorate degrees are assumed, and therefore not broadcast. In certain professional situations, it is necessary to state that as a qualification, but the fastidious do not use it otherwise.

Miss Manners is well aware that your opinion and hers will bring on indignant responses along the lines of "I earned my PhD, and I'm proud of it." She is also aware that the concept of not flashing all one's achievements as widely as possible will baffle many people.

Dear Miss Manners: I go to a coffee shop and sit with some older ladies. I am 15 years younger. Having been a widow for three years, I have luckily now become engaged to a wonderful man.

One older lady always wants to look at the obituaries and talk about her husband, who died a year ago. When an elderly man who was widowed four years ago asked her out, she was insulted. The other older woman also talks about her dead husband. Unlike them, I am very busy. I take yoga and art classes, and do belly dancing.

I have decided to sit with another friend and my fiance at another table. Sometimes, one of the ladies tells me I am insulting her by not sitting with them.

What is a kind way to tell them that I want to sit with my fiance at another table?

Why are you making this obvious by going to the same coffee shop at the same time? You are not obliged to sit with them, but this does strike Miss Manners as provocative.

If you must, you and your fiance should exchange courtesies with them before saying, "Excuse us, we have things we must talk about."

New Miss Manners columns are posted Monday through Saturday on washingtonpost.com/advice. You can send questions to Miss Manners at her website, missmanners.com.

How To Get A Free CVS Gift Bag In July That's Full Of Ace Beauty Products - Elite Daily

Posted: 02 Jul 2019 12:15 PM PDT

Costco food samples. Hotel beauty products. BOGO deals. Anytime I have the chance to snag something without paying for it, I do. If you also revel in life's little giveaways then pay attention, because the details on how to get a free CVS gift bag in July are below. You read that right — your favorite pharmacy is making Christmas in July a real thing by handing out swag bags filled with legitimately covetable beauty products all month long, so trust me when I say this is a freebie you don't want to miss out on.

While the giveaway has technically already started, there's a catch: you must be a Beauty Club member to get in on it currently. Between now and July 6, members who spend $25 on beauty at CVS.com will be able to score a bag simply by entering a code at checkout. If you want a bag with pink detailing, you enter FREEBAGPINK; if you want a bag with blue detailing, enter FREEBAGBLUE. Signing up for Beauty Club is free and it'll let you score other great deals throughout the year, so there's really no reason not to do it.

If for some reason you don't want to become a Beauty Club member, fear not. From July 7 to July 27, non-members will also be able to snag a free gift bag by spending $30 on beauty products at any CVS location. Treat yourself to a few new makeup products or re-stock that half-empty bottle of conditioner in your shower early in order to get in on the deal — it's beyond worth it.

CVS

In terms of what the gift bags will include, it's a spread of products that you'll be genuinely glad you own. Your skin and hair will also thank you for using them. Maskers, you'll be excited to hear that a Beauty 360 Watermelon & Vitamin E After Sun Mask, an Oh K! Cucumber After Sun Sheet Mask, and a The Crème Shop Dead Sea Mud Mask are all included. Prepare for your happiest complexion ever! The bag is also looking out for you in terms of sun protection and after-sun care, seeing as it includes a SunBum 3-1 Hair Conditioning Spray, a SunBum SPF 30 Chapstick, and a SunBum SPF 30 Travel Size Sunscreen. A SunBum hair elastic and sticker are also included, because you can never have enough hairbands and who doesn't love a sticker? To round its offerings, the bag will include a Wet 'n Wild Hello Halo Liquid Highlighter, which will help you achieve that perfect dewy glow that summer beauty goals are made of.

If you thought that was all, there's still one little surprise in store. You'll also be gifted with $3 off coupon for Maybelline's SPF 50 Dream Cover Foundation, which hasn't even launched yet but will drop sometime in July. A discount on something yet to be released? Yes, please! There's never been a better excuse than that to buy a new makeup product.

Maybelline Super Stay Concealer Is One of Summer's Best New Launches - STYLECASTER

Posted: 02 Jul 2019 12:43 PM PDT

Even when I'm not wearing a ton of makeup, I like to wear a little concealer under my eyes. It makes me look more awake, brightening my eyes and concealing any dark circles. The new Maybelline Super Stay Concealer does just that. It's the most full-coverage concealer from Maybelline and the next product in the Super Stay Line. After launching Super Stay Foundation in 2018, the drugstore brand rolled out Super Stay Full Coverage Powder Foundation this year. Both were a huge success with fans loving the skin-like formula and matte coverage. Now, fans can add a full-coverage concealer to the mix.

I haven't tried the Super Stay Concealer yet but I've heard it's a bit of a dupe for Too Faced's Shape Tape, which is one of my favorites. It has a similar paddle applicator and a slightly thicker formula than previous Maybelline concealers, but just like Shape Tape, blends out easily with a sponge or your finger.

There are 12 shades to choose from ranging from 05 (Ivory) to 70 (Deep Cocoa). Maybelline promises it's waterproof, transfer and smudge resistant, and lasts for up to 24 hours, making it great for summer when you're just trying to keep your makeup from melting. It gives you a seamless, airbrushed finish that doesn't look cakey and it won't settle into fine lines. That being said, a great primer goes a long way, especially with matte foundation.
